Humility
A child asked God:
“Why do I need to be humble?”
God said:
“When you choose the lowest path, there’s no place to fall and the only way is up.”

Once there was a guy who fell in love to an autistic girl.
The guy really loves the girl so much despite of being jolly and childish.

“Studying”
Dear Student,
I see that you’re tired.
I tell you, drop your book and rest for a while.
Why worry too much about your studies?
Smile.
Be confident.
All you have to do is to prepare well and be in school.
Then, against the hundred questions that tried to destroy you, there I’ll stand and rescue you.
Passing the program requires not only Me nor only you, but rather Me and You.
Just do your best and I’ll take care of the rest.
Your Teacher,
Jesus

The Voyaging Ship
A voyaging ship…
…was wrecked during a storm at sea!
And only 2 men were able to swim to a small, deserted island…
The 2 survivors, not knowing what else do, agree that they had no other resource but to pray to God.
However, to find out whose prayer was more powerful, they agreed to divide the territory between them and stay on opposite sides of the island.
The first thing the 1st man prayed for was food.
The next morning, the 1st man saw a fruit-bearing tree on his side of the land.
And he was able to eat its fruit.
The other man’s parcel of land remained barren.
After a week, the 1st man was lonely and he decided to pray for a wife.
The next day, another ship was wrecked.
And the only survivor was a woman who swam to his side of the land.
On the other side of the island, there was nothing.
Soon, the 1st man prayed for a house, clothes, more food.
The next day, like magic, all of these were given to him.
However, the 2nd man still had nothing.
Finally, the 1st man prayed for a ship so that he and his wife could leave the island.
In the morning, he found this ship docked at his side of the island!
The 1st man boarded the ship with his wife and decided to leave the 2nd man on the island.
He considered the other man unworthy to receive God’s blessings, since none of his prayers had been answered.
As the ship was about to leave, the 1st man heard a voice from Heaven booming,
“Why are you leaving your companion on the island?”
“My blessings are mine alone, since I was the one who prayed for them,” the 1st man answered.
“His prayers were all unanswered and so he does not deserve anything.”
“You are mistaken!” the voice rebuked him.
“He had only one prayer, which I answered.
If not for that, you would not have received any of my blessings.”
“Tell me,” the 1st man asked the voice, “what did he pray for that I should owe him anything?”
“He prayed that all your prayers be answered…”

After that day the results are already posted, the lazy students got the highest score.

“The Pencil and Eraser”
Pencil: You know, I’m really sorry…
Eraser: For what? You didn’t do anything wrong.
Pencil: I’m sorry, because you get hurt because of me.
Whenever I make a mistake, you’re always there to erase it.
But as you make my mistakes vanish, you lose a part of yourself.
You get smaller and smaller every time.
Eraser: That’s true, but I really don’t mind.
I was made to do this.
I was made to help you whenever you do something wrong.
Even though, one of these days, I know I’ll be gone and you have to replace me with a new one.
I’m actually happy with my job.
So please stop worrying.
I hate to see you sad.

and asked the pharmacist,
“This is the only money I have...
...can I buy a miracle?”
The pharmacist confused with what the girl asked and said,
“Why do you need a miracle?”
The girl replied,
“Because the doctor said that only a miracle can save my mom…
Can I buy that Miracle here?”

The Beginning
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Now the earth was a formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light.
God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness.
God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.
And God said, "Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water."
So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so.
God called the expanse "sky." And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.
And God said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear." And it was so.
God called the dry ground "land," and the gathered waters he called "seas." And God saw that it was good.
Then God said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds." And it was so.
The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.
And God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years, and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth." And it was so.
God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars.
God set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth, to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good.
And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.
And God said, "Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky."
So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living and moving thing with which the water teems, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
God blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth."
And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day.
And God said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind." And it was so.
God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground."
Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.
And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food." And it was so.
God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.
Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array.
By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work.
And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.

Jesus Christ
Please relax and concentrate on the 4 small dots in the middle of the picture for about 30 - 40 seconds.
Then, take a loot at wall near you (any smooth, single coloured surface)
You will see a circle of light developing.
Start blinking your eyes a couple of times and you will seee a figure emerging...
What do you see? Moreover, who do you see?

The Unsighted

He had a board beside him written:
“I’m blind, please fill pity…”
A man came and dropped a coin and erased what was on the board.
Soon the boy heard a lot of coins being dropped in his can.
The boy wondered and asked someone to read what is on the board.
It says:
“Today is a beautiful day. Too bad I can’t see it…”

The Rice Field
As you observe a rice field you would notice which heads are bent and which ones stand up straight.
Well, the empty heads are standing tall and high.
But the heads that are filled with grains are bending low.
Indeed, the true great and strong people are humble and gentle.
And they don’t mind bowing low.

Sulat ni Tatay at Nanay
Sa aking pagtanda. Unawain mo sana ako at pagpasensiyahan..
Huwag mo sana akong pagtawanan o pagsasawaang pakinggan.
Amoy-matanda, amoy-lupa.
Huwag mo sana akong pilting maligo.
Mahina na ang katawan ko.
Madaling magkasakit kapag nalamigan.
Kapag may konti kang panahon, magkuwentuhan naman tayo.
At huwag kang magalala…

The Bamboo and the Mango Tree
Mango Tree and Bamboo grew up together. One day, Mango Tree asked Bamboo.
“Bamboo, why are you so thin? Look at me. My trunk is big and strong.”
“Mango, I may be thin but I am not weak.”
“Are you sure you are not weak? Besides, what help do you give to people? You don’t bear fruit.”
“I may not bear fruit, but people love to eat my shoots.”
“You don’t give mush shade. Look at me. People want to rest under my shade.”
“People use me in building their house, bridges, and many things.”
“If they always do that, there will be nothing left of you.”
“I thank the Lord for what He has given me. I believe each of us has something to do for others.”
That night, a strong wind came. Mango Tree stood proudly against the wind. But Bamboo bent his head and bowed to the wind. The storm stopped in the morning. The mango tree was rooted. But Bamboo was still standing.
“Thank you, Lord for saving me from the storm.”
Do not be too proud. Everybody ahs a purpose why they live, everyone is special in their own simple way.

Unlighted Candle
A man had a little daughter-an only and much-beloved child. He lived for her, she was his life. So when she became ill and her illness resisted the efforts of the best obtainable physicians, he became like a man possessed, moving heaven and earth to bring about her restoration to health.
His best efforts proved unavailing and the child died. The father was totally irreconcilable. He became a bitter recluse, shutting himself away from his many friends and refusing every activity that might restore his poise and bring him back to his normal self.
But one night he had a dream. He was in Heaven, and was witnessing a grand pageant of the entire little child angels. They were marching in an apparently endless line past the Great White Throne. Every white-robed angelic tot carried a candle.
He noticed that one child's candle was not lighted. Then he saw that the child with the dark candle was his own little girl. Rushing to her, while the pageant faltered, he seized her in his arms, caressed her tenderly, and then asked:
"How is it, darling that your candle alone is unlighted?”
Father, they often relight it, but your tears always put it out."
Just then he awoke from his dream. The lesson was crystal clear, and its effects were immediate. From that hour on he was not a recluse, but mingled freely and cheerfully with his former friends and associates. No longer would his little darling's candle be extinguished by his useless tears.

The Poor Guy
Two guys were courting the same girl.
The first one was rich, while the other one was poor.
The girl has chosen the rich guy.
He told the poor man to get out of their lives and laughed at him.
The next day, the poor man heard that the couples were getting married.
At that time he gave up and left that place and so he worked hard for himself.
After a long time, he went back to his old place.
He found out that the girl he loved committed suicide and died.
He saw her diary and letter for him.
“I chose him because he will kill you if I go with you. I sacrificed my life and my love for you. Please forgive me.”

The Farm
One day a father and his rich family took his young son on a trip to the country with the firm purpose to show him how poor people can be. They spent a day and a night in the farm of a very poor family. When they got back from their trip the father asked his son, "How was the trip?"
Very good, Dad!"
"Did you see how poor people can be?" the father asked.
"Yeah!"
"And what did you learn?"
The son answered, "I saw that we have a dog at home, and they have four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of the garden, they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lamps in the garden, they have the stars. Our patio reaches to the front yard, they have a whole horizon."
When the little boy was finishing, his father was speechless.
His son added, "Thanks, Dad, for showing me how poor we are!"
Isn't it true that it all depends on the way you look at things? If you have love, friends, family, health, good humor and a positive attitude toward life, you've got everything!
You can't buy any of these things. You can have all the material possessions you can imagine, provisions for the future, etc., but if you are poor of spirit, you have nothing!
